Thank you Yoga Center of Cape Cod
You are amazing Lynnette and I want to be sure you know it!
Hi Lynnette,
I want to thank you for starting me out on this yogic pathway I am on! You have
been an amazing teacher, person, roll model for me these least few summers. I am
heading to participate in Lisa’s Mind Body Yoga training in Colorado. If it
weren’t for you, I would never have dared to try this. Thank you for being the
wonderful, thoughtful, skillfull and supremely kind leader, teacher, guru you
have been. I follow your site so I know that you are continuing to grow and lead
and I can’t wait to get back to the Cape to catch up with you and luxuriate in
your Qi Gong classes and yoga classes.
Bless you for all you have done for me!
Love,
Sandy
I started yoga because of a medical diagnosis that meant I needed help with my immune system. I was hoping yoga would help keep my numbers stable. As long as I have no symptoms there is no need for treatment.
However, after 2 months of yoga, 3 times a week, I was pleasantly surprised to find my numbers actually dropped! I never dreamed that I might be able to reverse the upward climb.
Thanks to yoga, I no longer Fear the next series of testing. I am looking forward to my personal challenge of maintaining the healthy self for as long as possible. oommmmmmm…..
I was watching the news this morning thinking about a mini ‘escape’ after the election to relax. First I thought about going to a movie. That sounded nice at first, except that I just spent 10 hours sitting on a plane, bus, car coming back from Michigan and my legs are stiff. Then, I thought for the SAME amount of money, I could get off my rear and take a yoga class at your studio and actually do something to make my body mind feel better. $20=Movie and popcorn for one – lonely, fat-accumulating, leg-stiffening vs. exercise and renewed sense of self.
Dear Lynnette
Just a quick line to say that I had a wonderful time in my first HOT yoga class:) I promised myself (financially) to come at least once a week. As you know, a first yoga class is a memory as strong as a first kiss. I bought you a tiny gift as celebration of my first endeavor. Thank you, your patience with me indicates that you love well.

REGARDING THE BRAND NEW BEGINNER SERIES:
~ I enjoyed the series very much. I looked forward to class every Sunday.
~ Learned a lot about knowing there is more to learn.
~ Perfect (x2 !) and Just Right.
~ Grateful that I was able to participate. I felt like a sponge soaking up all that good stuff- its exciting that there is always more and interesting things to learn in yoga.
~ Lynnette – you are a knowledgeable fabulous teacher. You provided good resources should one decide further knowledge of a subject. Your sense of humor was great and appropriate.
~ I found it relaxing and helped my hip.
~ The series made me want more. I felt very safe. I liked the combination of learning about the principles of yoga and definitions and the physical part of doing the poses.
~ I felt that it was a truly a Beginners Intro Class as I hoped it would be. Best part individualized attention and no stress to keep up with the more experienced people.
~ Inspiring.
~ Instructors were awesome (Sunie & Lynnette were the co-leaders)
~ I loved it!
~ Asana instruction was excellent.
REGARDING THE STUDIO IN GENERAL:
~You have a beautiful studio, I take a lot of classes all over and yours is still my favorite. I feel that your teachers are well trained. and I’m in good hands in your studio. I can’t wait for summer
~Don’t stop. Keep going. I love your classes and everything about the studio. REALLY like hearing the instructors give positive feedback about other classes and techniques in the studio.
~Lovely well run studio that is a joy to be a part of! Like the special events and workshops too.
~I appreciate the variety at the center since Lynnette has owned it. There is something for everyone. It also has the feel of being our own little community, a nice sense of belonging.
~I don’t think about going to other studios at this point because I think that the schedule, the classes and the instructors are all wonderful. Also, I love that I can pay a monthly fee for practice. I would not be able to take so many classes otherwise due to the expense. Thanks Lynnette for doing such a beautiful job with the CC Yoga Center – you have managed it wonderfully and very professionally as well.
~Praise for the decor, the cleanliness, the dark, the heat – all conducive to relaxation.
~thank you for your dedication to the studio. Your willingness to listen to your students and incorporate their feedback is impressive
~I love it!

FAVORITE CLASS:
~I’m new to yoga with an extremely limited range of experience, but I like Hot Yoga. I was unsure at first, but the class is so sensorial unique that your focus rarely leaves the room of your own body
~My favorite is the restorative yoga. I feel so healthy and relaxed after. I sleep the best after too.
~I like them all. I like power, hatha, vinyasa…I like moderate to challenging classes because I like a good “physical” workout as well as spiritual connection
~I prefer the hot yoga classes. Detoxifying and cleansing.
~I enjoyed the Restorative Yoga class best so far.
~hot anything. Cleansing. Free. Great.
~all, esp. sacred music I like the quiet, the soothing music after a busy day to be able to focus inward and shake off the day.
~gentle, I am not very flexible so I like a slower pace
~I enjoy the Jivamukti (Bristol) class, the moderate flow (Carrie), the silent Sacred Music and the Yin Yoga classes
~I LOVED all of them. The gentle yoga was just right for me.
~Hot Yoga – probably because I am most familiar with it. I like the heat (I can’t believe I’m actually saying that, as it was once inconceivable to me that I could stay in a heated room for 90 mins much less exercise in it.)
~sacred music. I can work at whatever level feels best for me, the silence is a great end to the day full of auditory overload!
~sacred music; I like to work on my technique by myself
~I like the heat. My age prevents me from the kinds of exercises that used to encourage sweating – like running

FAVORITE INSTRUCTOR:
~All instructors have been great. It is difficult to choose one I feel very fortunate in having a group of instructors who are so dedicated and compassionate.
~Of the classes that I have taken, all the instructors that I have had are great. Lynnette, love her energy, calmness and the flow of her class. Bristol’s (special events) class is a challenge, I’m happy when it’s over, we work hard, but I love it, gets me out of my box.
~Lynnette, she is so easy to be around and her love of yoga is contagious. Carrie is also an excellent teacher, with great focus. Bristol is a yogini from the inside out.
~Carrie, calm soothing voice but also simple and direct I’m able to understand even if I don’t hear the words
~I like taking them all it depends on my mood
~I have only taken classes with a few instructors so far so this me not be a completely fair review. I love Carrie since she is a wonderful instructor, very challenging and very calm and spiritual. Bristol is another amazing instructor – very talented, spiritual, and inspirational. She also has a very challenging class.
~I like the diversity of the instructors. everyone has their own style!
~all of you. each have your nice ways about you. I learn from all of you.
PRIVATE LESSONS:
Suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis that had impinged on my cervical spine, I was eager to move from my physical therapy exercises into something a little more all-encompassing. My neurosurgeon suggested trying a low-velocity program like Yoga, but I was hesitant to leap into a class without first discovering which exercises would be safe for me. I met with Lynnette Walker for a private session and she helped me piece together the perfect Yoga program. The improvement in my symptoms and overall well-being has amazed me and my doctors — I’m stronger, healthier and happier than I’ve ever been, and best yet, I have managed to stave off neurosurgery. Thank you, Lynnette, and all the teachers at Yoga Center of Cape Cod, who continue to look out for me. — Sally Gunning
